TEAM-MANSHIP

at the end of each day, we ask the students to answer this question, "where have you seen God at work today?" based on the truth that God is working all around us and in us each moment of the day, the question becomes an exercise in learning to see and hear God and His voice in our lives.

as students were sharing their answers last night (our first night to ask the question), lee barnett stood up and said that He saw God bring us together as a team to work for Him. and he was absolutely right! not only was he right, but the following student, courtney i., stood up and said she had wrote down the same thing.

God has done an amazing work in bringing us together and we have your prayers and the Spirit of God to thank. this trip is made up of a number of smaller friendship groups and bringing them together as a team is essential to the short-term success in waveland and the long-term impact on our students.

this answer to prayer could be seen on every work team of 4 students and 1 adult who bonded together at their jobsite. it could also be seen around the meal table as groups began to expand and mingle together. it could be seen in the cooperation necessary to get 47 people in the morning with only 4 showers. and in the free-time trip to sonic for refreshments...

God has been good.
